From
lakeside accommodations to wooded retreats and bungalos, the
charming town of Bayfield
on Lake Superior is a traveler's year-round paradise. Much
of Bayfield's lodging community is comprised of Bed &
Breakfasts and Country Inns known for their special touches,
comfortable accommodations, and homemade breakfasts. In
2004 several area B&Bs began creating hands-on events
for guests to enjoy during the quiet season. Packages for
an Artist's
Weekend, Scrapbooking
Retreat, and Cooking

Cooper
Hill House
Cooper Hill House

each with a private bath. This is a quiet, comfortable
home with turn-of-the-century charm located just
minutes from downtown Bayfield and the shores of
Lake Superior.
The
"Cooper Hill House" name originates from
a local nickname for the Manypenny Avenue hill where
the house is situated. The Cooper family lived on
the hill decades ago. Cooper Hill was traditionally
used as a winter sliding hill and many Bayfield
residents recall sailing down the hill on their
bobsleds during the early part of the century.
